SPC3 – San Rocco Scuola and Tintoretto’s Sistine Chapel – Frari’s Church

This experience will lead you to two gorgeous monuments in Venice in the district of San Polo. The Great Brotherhood of San Rocco is a secular charitable foundation. It has been active since 1478 and still is in philanthropic activities. An extraordinary place hosting more than 60 paintings, preserved inside the original arrangement. Its monumental renaissance façade houses the famous Tintoretto series about the Old and New Testament. After this first part, there will be a refreshment break in a local establishment before visiting the second monument. The Franciscan Basilica, famous for its gothic architecture, preserves memories of 500 years of venetian history and important works of art by Titian, Bellini, Vivarini.
