G1 – Giudecca Art & Industry
A walk discovering the island of Giudecca, located opposite Dorsoduro district, and its imposing industrial past. It has to do with a stroll, without additional fees, that starts by the vaporetto stop named Sacca Fisola (vaporetto n° 2) and ends by Redentore Church. You will observe industrial architecture, which the most magnificent example is Stucky Mill, which contributed to transforming Venice, already in the XIX century, into a pre-industrial manufactoring centre. The several buildings you will see have been now reconsidered and adapted to new functionalities. Strolling among residential areas you can admire imposing religious buildings and a breath taking view of the southern lagoon.
