CT1 – Castello Overview
Castello is the biggest district of Venice with a … Km2 surface and is located in the eastern part of the city; the tail of the fish!!!! Castello gives the possibility to discover its urbanistic development, revealing byzantine and gothic buildings. This first itinerary is for those who want to visit the area close to Saint Mark Square. Let yourself be captured by the magnificence of monuments such as the Basilica of Saints Giovanni e Paolo and the Scuola San Marco. We will walk among precious palaces, evocative “campi” and strategic passages. The walk will start from Campo San Bartolomio by the statue dedicated to the great playwriter Carlo Goldoni and will end in a panoramic place facing the Northern lagoon.
